Summary

My thesis work involves the design, fabrication and characterizaation of a Microwave Squid Multiplexer (uMUX) and a detector based on magnetic microbolometers (MMB) in a On-chip system, to be used in the field of cosmology, specifically on polarization measurements of the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB). The detector and readout on-chip system under development is to be used in the Technical Demonstrator Instrument of the QUBIC project (The Q and U Bolometric Interferometer for Cosmology).
