About Me

I have studied particle physics in University of Pisa, with particular focus on experimental methods for particle detection and astroparticle physics. For my master thesis internship, I joined the AMS-02 experiment group in the Italian Institute of Nuclear Physics of Pisa, and worked on the electromagnetic calorimeter ECAL calibration and particle identification techniques.
In September 2011, I joined the AMS-02 group in the particle physics department at the KIT Karlsruhe Institute of Technology as KSETA Doctoral fellow, and I succesfully graduated in November 2014. My research was focused on the analysis of positrons and electrons detected by the AMS-02 experiment in the cosmic radiation. I was also involved into the mantainance and operations of the AMS-02 Transition Radiation Detector TRD. Both activities have been supervised by Prof. Dr. Wim de Boer (KIT) and Dr. Iris Gebauer (KIT).
